             The Hearth-- Our Main House looking Southwest from Mi Casa

Reserved for Your Enjoyment

     We have reserved 750sf of The Hearth, our Main House, for your personal use any hour of the day or night-- Hottub, Library, Living Room & Sunroom. Photos

     Soak in our 7-foot commercial-sized octagonal Hottub which is cleaned with ozone and silver so there are no chemicals.

     Browse our outstanding Library-- thousands of books by women on women's and Lesbian herstory & culture, health & well-being, nature, political issues, race & culture, writing & art, creativity, fiction & so much more.    

     Settle into one of three spacious Sitting Areas to read, chat, or listen to music, voice tapes or CD's. Or, watch one of our dozens of strong-woman-character videos. One sitting area reserved for you is our Sunroom with lovely views of the red-clay & rock mesa with the valley stretching off to the southeast.

          Another Guest Phone is available in the Main House, as is our Pantry and 3-door commercial fridge.  If you run out of anything, it's likely that we'll have it on hand.

     Jae lives in the South end of the 2400sf Main House. Our land Office is there as well as the Office and Production Studio for Maize Magazine and the Lesbian & Women's Documentary Media Project. 

            The Main House is a smoke-free space. A cat lives with Jae but does not have access to Guest Space.

Expansion & Future Plans

Workshops, Gatherings, Retreats

     Spacious and airy, the remainder of the Main House makes a wonderful Gathering Space for workshops, celebrations or other gatherings. Our 2-sink, 2-stove & 2-oven 500sf kitchen is marvelous for groups.  That half of the Main House is currently private space.

We will focus on women's hands-on construction as well as  Personal development,  Creativity, Connection, Fun, and Healing.  We are also considering Creativity, Wellness, Health & Healing workshops for 2007 as well as more Women's Building Workshops.

     We are delighted to welcome you for extended RETREAT stays to focus on your healing, art, writing,  creativity, intuition, expanded skills, or your personal growth.  We will do all we can to support your goals while you are here. 

     In the future We hope to provide more partial scholarships to make it possible for a greater spectrum of women to benefit from this wondrous land during individual retreats as well as in group formats.  We now try to work out affordable rates for every woman. Talk to Jae. Tax-deductible donations to help subsidize stays for other women gratefully accepted.

     If YOU want to do a Writer's or Artist's Retreat or Workshshop for yourself or with others, let's work together to make it happen. Honey House can house up to 10 women in a dormlike setting.
